Jakob spent ten years in the outdoor industry working as a ski guide and rock climbing instructor in California and Alaska. After a successful career in the alternative energy industry where he owned and operated a solar installation company he decided to return to the adventure industry and founded Treks and Tracks in 2006. He is certified as an Canadian Level I Avalanche Analyst and a Wilderness First Responder. Besides climbing and mountaineering Jakob spends his free time surfing on the California coast.

Daniel has a master's degree in environmental science and is working on his phD in marine biology. He loves nothing more than educating people on the wilderness that sourrounds them. Other than being a scientist, Daniel has worked as a rock climbing instructor at Planet Granite in San Francisco, CA and as aclimbing coach for the Warehouse rock climbing gym team in Olympia, WA . He is certified as a Canadian Level I Avalanche Analyst and Wilderness First Responder. He loves to explore the mountains of the Washington Cascades but also loves to climb granite in California.

Brandon hails from Clovis, CA, a small town below the Sierra Nevada’s. His repertoire of outdoor activities beyond rock climbing, include trail running, slack-lining and recently learning to surf in the frigid waters of northern California. Brandon started his climbing journey in San Luis Obispo in 2005. Since then he has become an expert climber pushing his limits on technical rock into the 5.12 range. His passion for the sport is irrefutable when looking at his side project of supplying climbing gear to local communities in Cuba. Brandon has had the opportunity to share his expertise as one of the head climbing instructors for Planet Granite in San Francisco, CA and now as Director of the Mountain School with Treks and Tracks.

Paul has been climbing, surfing and skiing since he was old enough to walk. His technical climbing abilities make him an excellent instructor for those looking to push their rock climbing abilities to the next level. His need for adventure has taken him to remote places such as Indonesia, Peru and the remote Colorado wilderness.
In his free time you’ll find Paul climbing 5.12 routes in Joshua Tree or ripping double overhead waves in Point Arena.
